A very good morning students
Thank you for logging in
Yesterday's concept on Financial Plan will have to be done very carefully.
I will be sending notes on the Financial plan.
Today we are going to look into the seventh component of Business Plan which is the Human Resource Plan also called Man Power Planning
"PEOPLE WORKING IN A FIRM MAKE IT WHAT IT IS"
Thus it is very important to build up Loyal, effecient and dedicated people and the Entrpreneur needs to pay adequate and proper attention to Human Resouce Planning
Man Power Planning thus helps to assess
i) WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED ?
II) HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED ?
III) HOW THEY WILL BE SELECTED? / HOW TO PROCURE PERSONNEL
Let us look at the first point
1: What kind of people are required : To carry on its operation effectively ,an organisation needs people with necessary qualifications, skills, knowledge, experience and aptitude for work.
So in this section , an entrepreneur must clearly state
a) what kind/ type of person is required to be hired for getting his work done ?
b) Since each person hired will have different positions in the firm ,he will have different responsibilities and duties , so it becomes very important for the entrepreneur to clearly work out a wide range of people ranging from Managers , Supervisors, Administrators, Engineers, Technical, Skilled and Unskilled class. It his nature of Business that will decide what kind of people he requires.
2: How many people are required ?
It deals with the numbers of personnels the enterprise needs. The following needs to be kept in mind before deciding the number of personnel
a) the total work to be done
b) how much work an average personnel can do in specified period of time.
c) level of absenteeism expected
d) rate of labour turnover ( number of labour leaving the firm)
e) the present number of employees
f) the future plan for expansion and diversification.
3. How will they be selected/ how to procure personnel ?
Procurement of 'right person, at right job, at the right time' is the objective of human resourced plan. So, in this section, an entrepreneur clearly mesntions the strategies, methods policies rules and regulations pertaining to man power ie (a) recruitment (b) selection (c) training
These are the notes for Human Resource Planning. Please make sure you learn it.
